DING

Updates on the site. Enjoy. The art is some of my best yet and most beautiful (my fav being Jay in Space)
The Duder theme I had fun with. Instead of making all the icons from scratch I toke graphics from all the Duder shorts, games, and episodes - touched some up, fiddled around with some, and made sure their was an icon for everything. :P Seriously though I didn't just slap stuff on. Theirs some jokes and themes within themes. Like how the system update is Val with his beard from Sword Shavin or how the message box has a bad industries theme with mr Bad, tad clones, and Shanemen. The wolf this is balls BG may make it hard to read the menu text if you don't keep the brightness at - 3 on your PS3. Also if your a person who has high brightness on your PS3 the powerful bright colors of this theme may be stressful to your eyes - or for any stoners/trippers this is a great theme with many colours and a great glow that sticks to the Duder style.(Final example: all the default music, video, and picture folders are now baggys - like the baggys ya buy weed in. Lil' things like this really make this theme special and trap the Duder spirit within it.

Fuck. Thats a lot of text. K. Before tackling another bit of animation I'm going to take this afternoon off. I updated the site - animated yesterday and got some lip sync done, before either working on one scene in ep 3 or starting another I think I'm going to reward myself with a lil' relaxing killing stuff in brutal legend to awesome guitar solos.

Duder PS3 Theme and More Desktops out

I lost my mullet again. :C
Newgrounds I am at a lost - thankfully there's still this site here to help me forget about the demise of my hair.

Also I've been a dick and held onto the Duder PS3 theme too long and will be releasing it sometime at the end of the month. Going to touch it up and maybe remake a few things for it before sendin' it into the cesspool of chaos which is the public. Don't know who would want to even try it out, but figure if people try those wacky themes on PS3 store out (Not wacky as in bad some are kick ass some like the Brutal Legend theme or Overlord theme were neat) but someone out there probably would be curious to how it looks.

Ahh... Who wants an update on what I'm working on? If not skip the following chunk of text.

Animating duder episode 3, new Duder side scroller, 2 Duder shorts. Writing a film script, poetry book, philosophy, and articles. Drawing 1 piece of art a week as a new goal. Turning garage into livable home. Practicing Bass and singing. Composing experimental industrial music. Making an outfit for film, shows, and future band practice.

Beat Brutal Legends the other day - for sure goes in my "Best games I've ever played" section with Final Fantasy 10, Fallout 3, and Digimon World 1.

I'm keeping an eye out on these NG meet lately. Waiting like a hawk... wait I fucked that up - watching like a hungry hog staring a slop. That works. K ya - anyways I got an urge to mingle in flesh and not online with the community. And it just be wicked cool.

Wakka wakka wakka wakka wakka wakka I wanna play pacman wakka

I'm going to make a goal right now. Going to learn the tetris theme on bass. Peace. Watch my work or spread my work I'd love and appreciate ya'll for it! Or don't and I get to keep making a big pile of stuff to show to the world upon discovery! :D

Animated/drew from 10 this mornin' to roughly 2:45-ish this afternoon.
Havein' fun with this one. Makin' sure it dont get lost and make me work another 4 months on it like ep 2.
This ep is nice though. Since ep 2 which I felt was an achievement that went under the usual NG radar it does, I'm not putting too much hope in this one and just trying to enjoy animation as I use to.

I love the voices. I'll post a pic of the new mic recording this great sound quality and great voices.
Even though I've started animating I got some lines missing but I'll work on what I can.

I'm happy yet again. I can enjoy animating my precious Duders - the time between ep 2 being done and getting the voices for ep 3 was torture where all I wished was to animate.

In the script Val was using a blue bong like the pic I got in the art portal - then I remembered the bad ass grim reaper bong they had in ep 2....

Also, yes - I'm fucking crazy and redraw almost everything each new episode. Can't improve reusing junk.

Duders Ep 3 started.

Got over 5 pages of poetry written for my book, got 3 songs written and 2 things composed for music experimentation. recorded some poetic readings and vocals for a song, worked on some levels for the new MTC game in works, offered to pay taxi or gas money to needed voice actors for The Duders ep 3 a drive away, been practicing bass, and been writing some scripts too.

I surprisingly have been playing very little games. I've spent maybe 4 or 6 hours this week playing fallout 3 broken steel and that's it.

Doing more music experimentation today and getting Darryl to voice act for his parts in the next game. Also, the next game may and highly probably will be my last in a while. I want to focus on animation again and Duders ep 3 - I'm starting on bits even if I don't got the voice actin' - I'll just leave some space to lip sync and animate onward.

Peace NG.

A sample of some of my poetry for NG. ;)
---------------

Song of the Town

Silicon numbers stamped through the very screaming trees,
A blowing up sky,
Fences of dead rock bodies all around me,
Sounds whispering from the ground,
And voices asking it to go away.

I look up to the sky and wonder "Where does blue come from?"
Click, click.
My feet provide the back-beat with a step, stomp, step, stomp, step, clomp, step, stomp.
Engine drummers all surround,
Wind whimpering in the breeze,
And airplanes playing trumpet sounds high in the sky down onward onto the ground -
Like sand falling to the next part of the hourglass.

Tis the song of the town.
Tis the song of the walk.
Tis the sounds that surround -
The clamps, the taps, the ticks, the hits, the slicks, the twinkles.

Stone smiley faces starring up from the street.
Blankets of ads hold a dull drawing.
Pop my luck sidewalk.
The street is an orchestra of the engines of cars.
All loud and shrouded in making bad air.
Like mechanical babies screaming for their mothers -
"Oil! Oil! Fuel! Fuel! Feed me! Feed me!"

In the high old stone you in the middle of the sky,
They continue to graze, they continue to graze.
What does it say?
Why tonight?

I despair the city and the city despairs me.
As I step on the stone sidewalk the stone sidewalk steps against my feet,
Pushing me upward - rejecting me from this ground - this town -- this existence.
The voice of this town yells at me screaming in its industrial woe.
The town - its despair... is only in one shadow - and I trip onto it.

Play Mullet-Mans Pickle Quest!

Listen to Animate Animator!

So ya - made a short fun lil' platformer with experimental photo-manipulated art and got the first bit of music experimentation down lately. Hope ya'll enjoy these tasty lil' time consumers sprinkled with hidden laughs and gleeful memories.

I'm trying to get people a 20 minute drive away to get down here where I'm at, to voice act for Duders ep 3 so I can start getin-her-done.

I downloaded Broken Steel for Fallout 3 on my PS3 FINALLY and yes... just... so much... yes.

I'm workin' on a nice get up which will debate in some sort of film in the future I'm also planning on starting my first short film and getting it under production.

Pickle Quest was a fun lil' project. I got to take my old online mullet-king persona and combined it with some other ideas of mine and it worked.

I love pickles. Have a good one Newgrounds. More Duders and goodies comin' soon. Peace for now. (And now I await the delicious smelling chilli Darryl is cooking.)

New game, new song, and chilli cooking.

I wonder if I got unscouted durrin' that account hacking incident I read a bit about. Somethin' 'bout someone hackin' an account and unscouting a bunch of artists - wonder if I'm one of the ones who got unscouted.

I don't mean to rube my ego, but I do consider myself an artist and some of my work worthy of the art portal... Perhaps I'll PM the proper person 'bout this.

"Every really new person... makes his style... - sometimes a little removed from the previous models - sometimes very far removed." --- Walt Whitman

I remember starting out 'bout three years ago by trying my best to mimic the style of my current favorites which at the time were Super-Flash-Bros and Legendaryfrog.

I've drawn animals in my youth along with a few detailed faces, mostly I doodled and drew anime in middle school and begining of high school. I got two how to draw manga books and spent a lot of time drawing anime with pencil. When I got my wacom tablit though I didn't want to turn Duders into an anime and at the same time I wanted to find a style that was easier, funner, looked better, and something I was happy with.

I got the idea by looking at Pico drawn by MindChamber that I should go super cartoony. Bugs Bunny, looney toons-ish with three fingers and whacky moments. It's just so much more fun and expressive. I didn't want to make Duders an anime and I didn't want to make Duders a weird Pico rip off.

I just experimented enough 'til I found the right kind of way to draw eyes for me, I learned to actually shade, I got advice from pros on how I used my lines and colours, and I practiced and practiced and practiced.

The ending product which is still actually forever improving, but still... I got me these cute lil' Anime + Pico + Bobblehead type dudes.
